About her
I am content in my life but would like to meet someone who might become a good friend. The incurable romantic and eternal optimist in me would like to make more than a friend but I know how hard that can be.
I am a private person who probably takes a bit of getting to know. An introvert but quite sociable with it and enjoy the company of friends, although large gatherings aren’t my thing. Equally, I enjoy my own company or quiet time with another person. I am a thinker, pretty down to earth but don’t take life too seriously and love to have fun, to laugh. I am gentle and sincere. I love the written and spoken word in all its forms and couldn’t envisage a life without literature, poetry, cinema and theatre. I enjoy walking, particularly by the sea – or down a country road that leads to a nice pub. I love music for its ability to transport us and my taste is eclectic – anything from Joni Mitchell to pieces such as Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber. As I type this, I am listening to Bob Marley – I went to see the film ‘Bob Marley – One Love’ recently.
I find the world around me endlessly interesting, fascinating, moving and often funny. I want to go on experiencing it and it would be wonderful to do that with a kindred spirit.
