About her
I think of myself as a slow burner, I’m the warm nourishing casserole not a rich sugary show stopper .
Doesn’t make me sound too sexy and exciting does it ? But think of it this way…who ever over ate, wish they hadn’t, then felt sick on a casserole ? Who doesn’t feel warm, content, nourished and happy with casserole ? What casserole doesn’t put a stop to feeling empty ? I’ve been told, and in no particular order that I’m brave, loyal, kind, a good listener, that I’m different. ( hmm, not sure what that one means..but I’ll take it ) I’m intelligent and funny. I’ve been told other things too of course, but we can leave that conversation for another time.
That doesn’t mean I don’t get out much. I like to go out, I like to stay in but we both know it’s the person we are with, the quality of the banter, the emotional connection that makes a difference between a good time and a great one. As I’ve got older, my horizons have broadened and I’ve taken up new interests. Its a now or never attitude that has taken me to see new shows, films , gigs, festivals, going to see sport, and of course trying new restaurants. I want to tell you I go cycling, and I do, but really its all about the cake stop and chat. Ive started dancing again and even without cake it’s so much fun. Life is precious and I want to make the most of it. I like seeing new places and travelling to new countries. I love snow as much as sun and if that all seems exhausting, down time is pottering around my garden on summer evenings with a glass of something chilled, binging on a box set in front of a TV snuggled under a blanket with a dog on my lap.
