About him
My story is different, more so than I would ever have wanted... three years ago, covering a small war no one wanted to know about, I broke my neck in a vehicle smash and paralysed myself from the shoulders down... since then, I've rebuilt my life, got back to work, got promoted and back to the kind of life that I find worth living...
It's been a brutal process but I think at the end of it I am still pretty intact... there may be a lot of inconveniences in my life but I have overcome most of them so far... my first relationship after the accident may sadly not have made it but it has at least given me enough confidence back to know that enough works for me to be able to give the girl a good time... too many disabled people get classed as asexual and I can assure you I'm not...
I'm still getting myself back in order after everything of the last couple of years... I'm getting back into reading -- even if someone else has to turn the pages. While I write heavily at the cutting edge of news and current affairs I'm trying to broaden that out and try and be more creative in my spare time... I love travel and want to do more... having roughed it heavily for much of my life, I'm also partly ashamed to say I'm getting more into the finer things of life available in London, not least good food and wine...
I've spent most of the last three years fighting to avoid what I didn't want from life -- being locked away from the world, being kicked out of work and marginalised... having managed all that, living independently with assistants and back working more than full-time, I'm still working out what it is that I do want from life...
So I'm something different, a bit battered and very much still a work in progress... but if you fancy some conversation, a few laughs, socialising and maybe a bit more then I'd be delighted to oblige...
