About her
I've lived a wonderful, full life, have wide-ranging interests and my friends & family tell me I'm very good company (no bribery involved as yet!).
I grew up on a farm in Scotland, studied and worked in Edinburgh, lived for a year in India and another year in the US and over a decade in the South of England. I've been in Edinburgh for 3 decades. My 3 grown up children are half-californian.
I've been practising yoga since my early teens, love walking, dancing, swimming, food, reading, art, theatre, film, music, the life of ideas - (I'm not a buff but an appreciator of the arts). I'm also very much up for the new - and if your interests overlap with mine I'd love to share what's mutual and engage with parts of your life which will lead me into stimulating new territory
What else can I tell you? I feel I've lived through the good, the bad and the ugly in life - and as a cup half full person it feels as if it has all served to give me an ever deepening sense of how lucky I feel to be alive, to have my family and my lovely circle of friends. I've been married & divorced, had a beloved partner die of heart failure and spent lots of time as a fun single - so I guess I'm pretty versatile and resilient.
I've learned to be grateful for the small things in life - the early snowdrops & daffodils, the aroma of freshly ground coffee, walking the dog in the early morning, beautiful music and special moments with my favourite people.
I like to think I'm a good listener and love good conversation. I like to keep fit and healthy. I believe our body, mind and spirit need to be well cared for to flourish - like a well tended garden.
