About her
Having retired from teaching, I now work, very much on a part time basis, as a counsellor, life coach, clinical hypnotherapist and hypnobirthing practitioner - giving me lots of free time. I have a small YouTube channel for which I get out and about to make recordings. I get a lot from doing this and hope that others do too - sharing my musings.
Though very self-sufficient, I am at my happiest when sharing time with people - especially with someone who is special to me.
I love cooking - but preferably not just for one! I love to learn new things, try things I haven't tried before.
I have a quirky sense of humour, but I do the serious bits of life too. I believe that I am a good listener - and a good friend.
I am widely travelled but still with lots of places to see, people to meet. To me, half the fun is sharing the sights and sounds with someone - having someone to stroll along deserted beaches with - ok, yes, so I'm a romantic at heart too!
Happy in wellies on a wet, muddy path or lbd and heels.
I try to approach life with a glass half full mentality and grab life and opportunities by the scruff of the neck or whatever comes to hand!
Try to keep myself fit - and walk wherever I can. Gardening and sawing wood to feed the wood burner help! I enjoy a good game of croquet, especially when accompanied by a glass of champagne - and love watching many other sports.
I am not keen on endless emails and texting - prefer to talk or to meet up.

I would like to meet someone who could put a spring in my step, a smile on my face and a giggle in my voice! I would also do the same for them! Someone who is good at listening as well as fun to be around - who would support me in my endeavours, but be happy for me to do the same with theirs.
