About him
I'm an intelligent, motivated (but big hearted) man who's hoping there might just be someone special out there who could be my best friend and more - someone with whom we could make a much better go of our lives together than we could separately. Whilst pretty determined, I'm driven by creativity, bringing enjoyment to other people and a sense of what is right rather than the desire to accumulate a load of money, fame or self satisfaction. Always try to be honest - kind of have to as I'm a rubbish liar - and hate hurting other people. Often feel like my life is full of contradictions... real age 64, told I look more like mid 50's, love the quiet of the country but equally love modern music and rather into deep house & drum and bass at the moment. Rather passionate by nature, but very much think you ladies are to be loved and respected; and whilst a bit rugged on the outside (I have a thing for mountains & cold weather!), I have a softer side and am looking for someone to share things with. Having never done the being conventional & suburban/getting married/having kids thing still think much as I did in my twenties/thirties, but hopefully a little wiser. Love being outdoors whether it's in the mountains or by the sea, although I enjoy going to town for entertainment and watch the odd game of rugby, motorsport etc., I'm quite a country boy at heart, now have a croft in the Highlands. Like cooking and most things to do with food and dining, being with friends and good craic.
Friends tell me I'm kind, reliable, hard working, sometimes a bit cheeky and have a certain attractiveness about me.... and need a good woman!!!

Mmmmm, apart from that it's difficult to give any hard and fast answers to this, as so much seems to depend on seemingly intangible aspects of personality, that can only really be discovered by spending time together. However a few things that might be important are:
A big heart, that wants to love and be loved
Definitely a passionate/romantic streak
A certain amount of intelligence (more important than the level of education - there are lots of stupid people with degrees!)
Reasonably active and outgoing
And as I'm not a great fan of the "size 0" culture, hourglass figure/curvy hips would be nice :-)
And the desire to be close and share all the ups and downs together
As for other stuff, well I'm not too fussed, relationships of all kinds change you, and it's nice learning new things and having fresh experiences.
Oh, and it would be useful if you like fireworks too!.
