About him
Hello, personal narratives are essential but can be quite boring so thank you for reading mine and I hope you manage to get to the end of it in one piece and without yawning.
My friends (the ones I have paid well), say I am kind, generous, good fun, witty, tactile, sometimes quiet, a decent bloke and, of course, generally a paragon of excellence. Not all lies, well mostly, but I am absolutely not perfect and all of us carry some "baggage". My good baggage is four great children, a good wife, three cats, a dog, seven chickens and lots of their lovely eggs. All except the first, my children, are sadly no longer but the first keep me out of mischief, well at least they try. I consider the years spent bringing up the blighters to have been a privilege and the best so far of my life.
I have rediscovered my piano (it was there all the time) with which I have had a lifelong interest in interest in playing. It wishes I hadn't. It refuses to open it's lid when I approach and I regularly murder Gershwin or any other composer unlucky enough to receive my attention. I am also a keen sailor and I have a small 19' keel boat which, with an accomplice, I race enjoyably and craftily but mostly unsuccessfully. I used to sing in choirs, I try hard at gardening, like Marmite, Sunday roast, chocolate, cycling, ratatouille, current affairs, politics, radio 4 and Sunsets, but not ready for mine yet and I hope you are not either.

I guess most of us don't enjoy the alone thing and miss the sharing even of the mundane things of life. I have grown to realise that the most important things in a relationship are the ability to laugh together, be best friends and have the ability to forgive and understand each other. I think it is important to have similar standards and beliefs and to treat each other as equals. So, a good or light hearted sense of humour is essential (witty, whacky, dry or otherwise would be fun) and if you can laugh at yourself that would be a real bonus. I am looking for someone who feels the same who shares the above sentiments with whom to explore new horizons and with some fun thrown in for good measure. The rest is all down to that indefinable chemistry.
