About her
I asked my friend how she would describe my personality and she came up with " Lively, sociable, effervescent, independent, enjoys learning new things and exploring new places." I would also say that I am thoughtful, kind, loyal and supportive to my friends and family.
In the interest of honesty, I know that some people adjust their ages, but I have to admit that I have just passed my three score years and ten and am ready for a new adventure.
You might assume from my photos that I gain my greatest pleasure from being outdoors, where the coast and countryside beckon and give me an intoxicating sense of freedom.
Foreign travel may have had to be put on the back burner for a while, but I love travelling, both with others and alone, and find the greatest joy in the enchantment of natural landscapes. I also revel in exploring the cultural life in cities- the art, music, food and local culture. It is very important for me to connect with local people and I make every effort to use my languages - all at varying levels of proficiency, it has to be said! Meanwhile, regions in the UK, hitherto unknown to me, beckon.How would you like to accompany me?
Alone, I am a voracious reader, and once smitten, if I have no other commitments, I can easily spend most of the day totally engrossed in a book.
I belong to a choir and have travelled with them to sing in South Africa, Italy, the French Alps, Dublin, the Minack Theatre in Cornwall and the Edinburgh Festival. But we are just a group of ordinary people who sing in extraordinary places.
I also enjoy spending time at home, having a baking session, spending time in the garden, recharging my batteries for the next adventure!
