About her
Just before the pandemic I made the move from a small town to live in a vibrant lively city with the theatre, arts cinema, galleries and every kind of restaurant just a short walk away. I'm so glad I did it and feel so lucky it was possible. (Don't get me wrong, I still love the countryside too and go back often.)
I love the arts and the theatre (where I used to work), pretty much any kind of history, old buildings, contemporary art , books and the outdoors. And I have a weakness for crime fiction. Music is a big part of my life- I play classical, blues, songs from the shows- I enjoy it all. I sing in a community choir, play in an orchestra, dance Lindy and enjoy afternoons walking in the Dales, North Yorkshire or further afield on Exmoor on in South Devon, definitely with lunch or a tea room involved. And for the next 18 months I'm a full time student finishing up the history PhD I always wanted to do. I don't have much time for television, but when I do it's the best dramas I want to watch. Friends say I'm warm, creative, lively, thoughtful - and a good listener. I'm on the left politically and I enjoy conversations about culture, current affairs and social justice, but above all I enjoy having fun and sometimes just being spontaneous. I have lots of friends but there is definitely room in my life for someone special who has their own interests to share and is up for trying out new adventures.
