About him
I have led an action-packed life that has taken me all over the world as a journalist on a major national newspaper meeting remarkable people and witnessing remarkable events. I have degrees in Philosophy and also in Law, and was president of a classical music academy that I co-founded. I am fit and active and have no health issues, and neither drink nor smoke. Once a city boy, I now love the countryside, and have renovated property in Dordogne where I live. I still work part time as an estate agent but my real passion is literature. I also love my dogs and horses. Have done a lot of sport in my time, golf, squash, tennis, real tennis, ski-ing, riding etc so not averse to doing so again if a partner is required! Not frightened of the kitchen.

Ideally? A tall, sexy, BoHo Blue Stocking who isn't frightened of dogs and would enjoy living in/visiting a mini Ghormenghast deep in the French countryside. Okay, that's put 99 per cent of you off!
