About him
I’m grateful for the life I’ve had, but want to share more of it in the time I have left. I’m a good listener and can offer lots of intelligent conversation and companionship, a caring personality, sense of humour (think Monty Python, Dead Ringers, perhaps?) physical warmth, help with the mundane things in life, love of the arts, appreciation of decent food and wine, can cook a bit, and love walking, I’ve conducted, sung and played in choirs and orchestras since my teens. Still directing and organising fund-raising concerts for the local Hospice. Keen on chamber music too. (I play in an amateur quartet). My degree was in History, which I taught full time for nearly 30 years. I’m still fit and physically active: shopping for me is a 2-mile walk into Hexham. Hadrian’s Wall path the same distance the other way. Casual/favourite jeans says the profile, but I can be smarter when required I’m keen to see more of Europe, lots on this island still to discover, too.
