About him
I ran my own businesses in UK for 4 decades, sold them and retired to France once my 2 children were independent, with a long-term lover, a younger lady. We then married in France; but disaster was ahead: after a few years she fell in love with a female priest in the Church of England, and converted to both Christianity and lesbianism.
Music is vital in my life - I was a good amateur pianist, and need it every day.
But now I live alone in a lovely, beautifully furnished, large and well situated period stone farmhouse in the countryside only 5 minutes outside a substantial local town; my two dogs have departed, and I only have two sweet cats for company.

A love of classical music is essential - otherwise I would drive you mad, I suppose . . . a love of France & the French may help. . . someone well-educated and alive to the exciting but also depressing developments in the world . . . someone who enjoys a lively conversation.
But I live a quiet life now - many former friends have fallen off the perch.
