My parents were both Italian, but I was born and grew up in London. Honest & trustworthy.
I don't own a sailing boat or a Ferrari. I don't ski and I have never ridden a horse (I would not get on one if you paid me) I don't have a villa in St Tropez either. Material possessions are just that, they do not bring happiness. I don't do Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or any social media - never have, never will.
Playing bridge with 3 friends after dinner, over a glass of wine + conversation gives me enormous pleasure. Simple things.....
I have a zero tolerance to people who brag, being a Taurean I am down to earth and do not live with my head in the clouds.
I love DIY and the challenge of working out the simplest & best way to tackle a particular job.
I have zero interest in Football, Rugby, Cricket.
I watch very little live TV - however I am mad about quality films & excellent drama, usually World Cinema with subs (predominantly French). I buy the dvd's. I never waste my time watching any film that is below 7/10 on IMBd.
I enjoy scrabble (to the point of me having designed my own far more complex & much larger board), board games in general, chess, bridge, cards in general, pub quizzes, swimming (not in the sea), love driving, particularly in France. Interested in WW2 (Europe). Working on my car - extremely therapeutic.
Problem solving is my thing. But, my biggest pastime is playing Table Tennis, so much so, I started my own club, which is now well into its 2nd year. This takes up a lot of my time - open Mondays & Tuesdays + delivering leaflets door to door to get new members + arranging events for our club members like Skittles or Quiz nights. Now getting the 2026 Xmas dinner sorted for the club.
I have been described by friends as a 'ferret' because I move so quickly.

What qualities? Difficult question - I am looking for someone trustworthy, loyal and caring. I am not expecting someone to cook my meals or iron my shirts. I am very capable of doing that myself.
Someone down to earth, likes a bit of banter, enjoys quality film. Basically someone who may enjoy some of the things I do and can introduce me to things they are interested in too? Someone who is NOT into labels!
I am in great shape, full of energy, and very young at heart. I'm looking for a wonderful woman who would enjoy great conversation, fine food and a glass of red or driving to France, sightseeing - I don't do flying to a famous resort, laying on a beach for 2 weeks then flying home and telling everybody what a lovely country XYZ is?!?
Would prefer someone who does not watch any soaps or Reality or Breakfast TV.
