About him
I am exceptionally well travelled and have experienced a few things in life.
I work in tv as a cameraman and have just finished a stretch of thirty years working in frontline national and international
television news. I have filmed in some of the most dangerous and inhospitable places on earth and that has given me a philosophy on life that I find invaluable.
Before working in tv my background was in horse racing and the army.
I am crazy about nature and love the countryside. I have my own narrowboat and use it summer and winter. (it has a log burning stove and central heating.) I love being out in the wilds on the waterways, far away from roads and cars. It's like camping but with more than a touch of old fashioned style. The on board chef is very good as well.
I am looking for a friend, and soul-mate, some whizzbang chemistry that burns like gunpowder. I freely admit to being a romantic, and have been known to have sudden unexpected bursts of being affectionate in public and private....Traits that I dislike are snobbishness, pompousness, bad manners, arrogance, and waiting to find out what the crowd thinks, before forming an opinion. (I also don't like bullies.)
My male friends would say that I am tough, fair and honest, and will always defend those who are unable to defend themselves.
My humour is dry, ironic, irreverent, dysfunctional,
and I am also very hard to offend.
I'm not in a huge hurry to find someone. I would prefer to take a bit of time, the theory being, knowing what we know now, if we get it right it could be brilliant. x
