Mmmmm....this is the hard part, especially for one who is relatively new to using these sites.
I am a well travelled professional having lived and worked in numerous countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia over the past 43 years.
I like to think I am still very young at heart, and like to stay fit and active. I love the outdoors, but am equally at home in the City or countryside. I have a very wide and varied range of interests, and love most sports. I also like pub atmospheres, and love to eat, so my ideal night out would be with the perfect partner over a lovely meal and a good glass of wine, with of course some interesting and stimulating conversation. Sense of humour is important to me also. Most people would say that I am very easy going, with a kind and considerate nature.
I love travel and meeting different cultures, which is just as well considering my previous lifestyle. However, I have now made the big decision and have recently stepped into retirement and relocated to the UK, in the beautiful City of Edinburgh.

Where to start?? Looks are obviously important, but more important is the chemistry - that certain frisson when you meet, counting the days until you meet again. My ideal match would be loving, caring and kind, tactile and with a good sense of humour. Someone who did not take themself too seriously, and liked to laugh. Someone who still has a young perspective on life, and believes that new experiences are there to be shared. But someone who would be equally comfortable with a quiet weekend at home in front of a cosy fire. Good chat and good wine, and all good things that flow from that.
