About his ideal match
I suppose the things I am looking for in a woman would be threefold - a warm tactile, loving and passionate nature, a sincere, caring and sharing approach to relationship and - more difficult to put in words - someone who is naturally capable of an elusive, intuitive and romantic or idealistic bond with another person.
I expect this woman to be different and probably in some way opposite (hopefully complimentary) to me. I tend to be fairly well organised (unless some emotional crisis has erupted in my life) and so expect this person occasionally to throw a spontaneous or unexpected spanner into my daily routine - perhaps to be clasped in my arms for an emotional recharge or even to be dragged upstairs or just a catch-up. At the moment I work from home as a writer - I am writing a book on historical cycles.
Besides work and love there would hope there to be much to share - listening to music, going to concerts, books, the occasional TV or DVD that we both really go for. And I would hope for a mix of friends, children ( I have two grown up ones and others I keep in touch with) and outside contacts so the relationship would not simply be a retreat to a lovenest but one that is part of a sort of community - something I have missed in my recent relationships.
