What do you say about yourself? Familiarity may not breed contempt, but it makes it hard to be objective. I'm happy, friendly & cheerful, with a positive outlook, & prefer people with similar views. Life's too short to moan & groan. Civility costs nothing & makes the world go round, so let's be kind to each other. Honesty & integrity is crucial, so I'll not play with your emotions. We've all had bad times in the past, but it's no good to carry a load of baggage. Physically, I may seem a bit shy until I get to know you, but that doesn't mean there isn't an affectionate, tactile woman just beneath the surface!
Work is important & I've not as much free time as those who have retired or don't work. I know nothing about sport, so can't debate the merits of the local team. On holiday, I'll explore the local history, art & architecture, not lie on a beach. Friends say I'm funny & I love stand-up comedy, so enjoy the Edinburgh Fringe etc.. I often have a few books on the go at once & love art galleries & museums.
Most weeks I go to the theatre & my guilty pleasure is trawling around junk shops. I enjoy cooking, the only creative bit of housework, often with Radio 4 in the background, but it's much more fun to share the meal with someone who will enjoy it.
I'm open-minded about the sort of man I'd like to meet, but admit to being deterred by tattoos & piercings. A nice smile compensates for thin hair, but smokers, however charming, will never be kissed by me. Wit, conversation & laughter will always be attractive. Love books & the arts ? Great!. A caring, fun-loving & spontaneous man always trumps the body-builder's glistening muscles, however huge his......bank balance!
I don't think couples should be joined at the hip or need to share every interest. Without variety, life is very dull. Still, it would be great to find a friend, companion & ultimately someone to share life's ups & downs. I've been alone a long time now, so have forgotten loads about being half of a couple.
