About her
Life is short, so it'd be a blessing to have an interesting, open, trustworthy, insightful and adventurous companion with whom to share it.
People, cultures, and politics fascinate me. I love being active in nature - I've mountain-biked across Israel for charity, and across Andalucia for fun. I've volunteered for work in a community project in a coastal community in Peru (when the Sandinera Luminosa were active), and helped out with a programme in Siberia (when the Soviet Union was ending).
Music is important to me and I sing jazz as a semi-professional, which was a little dream I had years ago...and it happened. I have danced salsa, jive, blues and tango to a competent standard.
My work brings me in contact with (often understated) leaders and amazing people within cutting edge engineering and science. It's quite a privilege.
When I down tools, I enjoy nature, singing, and being creative. I am interested in all sorts of things, be it geology, or the inner terrain of the human psyche.
I love to laugh and to see silver linings - sometimes life is absurd, so keeping things in perspective helps me appreciate all that is wonderful and magical around us.
Good conversation is a big feature in my most treasured friendships. I love the to and fro of open searching minds, where both genuinely hope to learn, made possible by deep listening and gentle curiosity about each other's perspectives.
I have some very precious friendships. Life is enriched by the love of good friends who will always matter to me.
Although I run a business that requires a rational planning mind, I am described by those close to me as sensual, intuitive, and creative. So I'm not always what you see on the surface. Despite being confident in company, it can take some time for me to reveal all of who I am.
After the passing of my father I'm currently exploring my Celtic roots and the complexity of my ancestry. It's fascinating stuff.
But life is lived now in the present - what shall we do and where shall we go...?

My ideal match? It's not about a prescriptive list of features - more about valued qualities...kindness, high integrity and courage for sure...someone who enjoys the world of ideas, perhaps with a practical side but strong empathy with possibilities.
Someone stable, and without the need to impress strangers. And who understands, rather than feels threatened by, the importance of my work to me. I am not retired and so, to avoid disappointment, let me be honest and say I won't always be in a position to drop everything without some notice.
Someone seasoned by life in a good way. When you get to your 50s stuff has happened...what matters is how has it left us, what have we learned... are we better for it...
