About him
Hi, this throwing one's bread on the water of expectation is complicated and demanding. Who am I? Well educated, self employed, I solve problems and design IT solutions - for the railway, which inevitably means Engineering, with the big but - I'm not an anorak. That's the starter for 10. But that's just what I do, I'm very self contained, self sufficient, and interested in: Art with both a small and capital A - the Tate reigns supreme with the Affordable Art Fair a must; theatre - any and all with the Globe on a summers day and Shakespeare entrancing; alas no deep literature - I read junk; and music - totally eclectic from trance to minimalist but with an emotional resonance with 'folk' - Bellowhead to Afrocelts with the Copper Family and Liza Carthy, I must also confess to an early dalliance with Morris Dancing, now alas long gone. So interests covered. What else makes a person? Friends - not many and mostly estranged in Yorkshire as I'm still relatively new to London but I hold friendship, real friendship, as paramount as it is built on trust. And, of course the spiritual - values and beliefs: honesty, holding out a hand to those in need (which I do badly), and and emerging identity with the buddhist principles of individual responsibility, detachment and mindfullness. So much for me (oh and I like cooking - and of course eating), what do I want and why am I here on this site? After a long, successful marriage we grew apart and separated to go our own way - without rancour, now what? If I am honest I want to meet and relate to someone on all levels, communication is fundamental and affection is very important to me, love is an aspiration but who knows, nothing worth having is easy.
