About her
While completing my 'profile', I realised how terribly ordinary I must sound....I don't think of myself like that though. I have led a varied and interesting life and like to think that this makes me anything but ordinary!! I moved to UK 20yrs ago to live here on a permanent basis - I had travelled here on and off for most of my life, but due to political problems in my country of birth; moved here permanently. Have spent the years since being a workaholic but have travelled extensively through work which has created a good diversity of experience. I have three grown-up children who live in various parts of the world and I'm happy to say, have all turned out to be just great :-) I love people, food, wine, poetry, art, music, theatre...am a culture freak!! Luckily, growing up in Africa has balanced this with a wild side - I can happily live in the bush and skin an animal with ease (that sounds scary ;). I like to think this balance has given me common sense and a survival instinct (much-needed through present times!!). More than anything, I firmly believe that life should be fun and 'easy being' when you get to my age, so I hang onto a crazy sense of humour....and try to enjoy all that life dishes up!!
About her ideal match
I imagine my ideal match would be a man who is adventurous, easy going, fun-loving, kind and thoroughly enjoys laughing!!! He would have to be as comfortable socialising in the CIty as he would be roaming the countyside and absorbing the great outdoors. Although I love riding, skiing, tennis - exercise actually - I am not obssessive about it, so it would not be an absolute criteria for me to meet a man who is sporty, although hunting, shooting and fishing would not go amiss!!! I do believe in the persuit of knowledge, in the best possible way - theatre, opera, concerts, exhibitions, books....I know it sounds awfully boring, but it can be made to be exciting and life-enriching. It would be great to meet someone who loves the finer things in life and has an attitude of apprecition for all that this has to offer. Although I am fifty eight years old, I do not look it or feel it and would like to meet someone who believes age is just a number and that everyday is for living to the full, preferably wearing a smile :-)...cheesy, I know haha....has to be done??
