I hit 40 and have never enjoyed life more, and I would like to share this adventure with someone special.
I'm a bit of a mosaic, half Dutch, half Greek, and travelled extensively. This has made me open-minded and independent, with lots of experiences to share. I love to spend time with friends and family who would describe me as caring, generous and loyal. I can be serious as well as silly (I have been known to do a bit of karaoke rapping), and I love to laugh. I have a great appetite for all things beautiful - be it art, music, food or fashion - as well as simple beauty in nature, nothing beats swimming in the sea, as long as it's not too cold! I'm a generally curious person, which means I'm up for new things, but I also know what I like. This influences my travels and culinary choices as well as my approach to meeting new people and my desire to continue learning. One of my life's mottos is "To cross oceans, you have to lose sight of the shore".

In three words my ideal match would be enthusiastic, international, and wise. But three words are just not descriptive enough, so... I'm looking for someone who has a passion about something (anything), is well travelled and culturally aware, as well as being balanced and grounded.
I love a man with a positive outlook - enjoying the simple things and also appreciating some of the finer things in life. Also important is that he's confident (happy with himself) and sociable - spending time with family and friends over sunday lunches and drawn out home-cooked dinners. I'm looking for someone to join me on travels, exploring new restaurants, going to concerts (for example: soul and funky jazz, and world music), movies, and interesting exhibitions.
